I know what this may look like at first glance, but I swear…it’s not what you think.
I was making my “famous” Hearty Chicken Wild Rice Soup (really, one of the only things I can actually cook) and had a bit of a mishap. I was transferring the white sauce required for the soup to a larger pot and…kinda missed.
No worries! The moment the dog heard my bloodcurdling profanity, she knew it was the cue to run into the kitchen to see what delicious goodies I had splattered on the floor. Fortunately, unlike the rest of the crew around here, she’s not picky and actually loves the stuff I cook up.
And will you look at that? Moments later, the floor is virtually spotless. You could almost eat off of it, it’s so clean and shiney (and sanitary)! I’m actually thinking about squirting gravy on all of my windows to see if she’ll lap those clean, too.

I wish my dog would do that. He’s a bit too particular about what he decides to clean up off of the floor. I don’t think he would touch my Tomato Lentil Soup but I think your Chicken Wild Rice soup would get lapped up.

Ah, my dog does floors too. It’s the best.
Oh I am cracking up at this because I have been known to do the same thing! I have actually called my dogs over to lick up some bits of crumbs and things that I have spilled on the floor!!!! Really, since owning dogs, my floors have never been cleaner!! Saves getting the vacuum out!
Ha Ha…that is TOO funny! One of the main reasons I love having a dog in the house. Especially when my toddler doesn’t quite understand the concept of keeping her food on her plate while she eats!
Great post! Your right dogs are not picky when it comes to food at all. One of the reasons I am such a huge dog lover. They always give unconditional love no matter what!
